Dreamspiel
Felt represented Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain has recently produced its very own Ukulele opera, 'Dreamspiel', which was premiered at the Arcola Theatre's 'Grimebourne Festival'. The music is Written by George Hinchliffe and the lyrics are by San Francisco playwright Michelle Carter
Dreamspiel is a response to ‘The Third Reich of Dreams’ by Charlotte Beradt, a journalist. While living in Germany in the 1930s, she secretly gathered the dreams of ordinary Germans, encoded them and smuggled them out of the country. These "diaries of the night", were independent of conscious will. They were, so to speak, "dictated to them by the dictatorship"...
…The dream images are reminiscent of Beckett, Orwell, and Gunter Grass before Endgame, 1984, or The Tin Drum were ever written. They are painful, farcical, satirical and theatrical. When this is combined with the individuality and diversity which the Ukulele Orchestra bring to group performance, an audience is brought closer to the political realities of ordinary life; it's fears, prejudices and ecstasies.
For more more about Dreamspiel visit the Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain site here
Felt Music represent The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain for all sync and media work. If you'd like to work with the orchestra or use any of their music in your productions call us on 0207 287 1233

Day Of The Triffids: BBC 1 - Airdate confirmed
Epic film score for TV remake of John Wyndham’s classic novel Day of The Triffids, supervised by Natalie and Toby @ Felt music, is now confirmed to go to air on BBC 1 on the 28th and 29th December as part of their christmas season programming.
Felt composer Alan Boyd carefully developed emotive and intricate themes for all characters and plot lines in the production and brought them to life in conjunction with Felt orchestrator and composer Felix Erskine who’s film pedigree speaks for itself and is growing with each project. Click here for more info on these and other Felt composers.
The result is an outstanding orchestral score more befitting an epic hollywood production but equally at home in this high profile feature length BBC drama. Click here for more info.

Aspiring film-makers and creatives were invited to create, produce and deliver an ad for the ICA in just 24 hours.
It was hosted by Odball in conjunction with the ICA and judged by Alan Yentob, Graham Fink, Peter Saville and Johnnie Oddball.

Another
Felt Publishing favourite Martin Rebelski has had his album Witch In A
Bottle chosen as the soundtrack to the book 'Anna & the Witch's
Bottle'.
"Featuring sad, dog faced waiters, mysterious ships in the sky and barking catfish, Anna & the Witch's Bottle is
a modern fairytale turned on its head, bringing together the esoteric
talents of three creative forces and executed with a rare degree of
complicity between its constituent elements. Written by Geoff Cox (The Proposition, Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll)
and illustrated by Rohan Daniel Eason, the work is printed in a limited
edition of 300 copies, designed by La Boca and issued with sound
recordings by Martin Roman Rebelski (Doves)......"
Martin played an amazing set at Bestival in his long held position as keyboard player for The Doves.
