Ben Preston

Ben Preston is a young, talented writer, producer and composer who is also one half of the Dance act ‘Tastemakers’ who have had releases and remixes on labels such as Data (Ministry), Gusto, 3 Beat Blue/AATW and Born to Dance. They found much of their work gaining support from DJ heavyweights such as Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier, Fergie, Micky Slim, Noir, Judge Jules, Wez Clarke (Hed Kandi), Kid Massive, Filthy Rich and MJ Cole. Their remix work includes mixes for artists such as the Uniting Nations, Filly, Sound De-Zign, Dennis the Menace, Mason, Yoav, Chungking and Moonhound. With such a wealth of music building their portfolio on a daily basis they felt the time was right to take more control over their output with the new launch of their record label, ‘Tasty Music’.

Ben has been classically trained from a young age, and plays many instruments including the piano, saxophone and drums. He is now a graduate in Music Production and Composition, and his ultimate passion is writing music for the media. Recent credits include writing soundtracks for the computer game ‘Moto GP 08’, supplying music for Specsavers, and writing and composing for various other media types.
