Chris Baker
Chris Baker is a composer, writer and producer, former half of dance/pop band Mint Royale. Originally classically trained, Chris has a strong musical identity present in all his work, which is the result of a love for many musical styles and genres. Bridging the acoustic and electronic fields, his work is contemporary and fresh, whilst retaining a cinematic edge perfect for bespoke compositions and commissions. He is used to working in TV, film and commercial industries, and has numerous Top 20 records and remixes to his name.
Under his previous moniker, Mint Royale were hugely known for the many uses of their work through TV and film placements. Adverts include Honda, Hugo Boss, VW Golf Gti, Kellogg's, Mentos, Vodaphone, BBC Radio 1, Mint Skittles. Their TV portfolio includes Scout A, X Factor, Spaced, Shameless, Queer As Folk, Malcolm In The Middle, BBC News and Buffy to name a few. They also remixed for the likes of Stone Roses, Apollo 440, Junior Senior, Har Mar Superstar, Kenickie, Kirsty MacColl, Cut Masters, Terrorvision and Younger Younger 28’s and have been championed by Radio 1, Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong and Judge Jules. Film work includes Tom Cruise’s “Vanilla Sky”, John Cusacks “Serendipity”, Anthony Hopkins' “Bad Company”, Stallone’s “Get Carter” and Rob Schneider’s “Hot Chicks”.
