Our latest signing, comes in the form of lo-fi stealth pop Catgut. Brought to life by composer Owen Davey, Catgut is a truly unique sound. A haunted mix of electronic drums, simplistic melody and dry, close voices. This intimate record stands proud next to our existing catalogue and represents true creativity and sonic exploration.
SUCKER is a collection of songs about loss, love, losing it and sledging. It was written and recorded in his bedroom, usually late at night after returning home from his second job. The loss, love, losing it - everything except the sledging, which feels to him like a long time ago - all occurred during the album's pregnancy and informed its character when it appeared. He called it SUCKER because that's what romantics are; suckers. And Catgut is a romantic.
