Case Studies

James Vine
James’ musical story began as a classical musician, attending the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to specialise in playing the cello. After developing a deep fascination for electronic music, composition and production, James, rather than pursuing a career in classical music, instead chose to study music production at Leeds College of Music, where he could use his classical training and theoretical knowledge by applying it to contemporary music.

Commissions for long-form bespoke composition include documentary, Paul Merson: Football, Gambling and Me (BBC One / Little Gem TV) - music composed, arranged and produced by James.

With his classical background and skills as an electronic producer, he can compose full orchestral scores - right through to electronic cinematic soundscapes, and edgy sounds - fitting for any long-form brief.

James also has a successful commercial artist career under the name Enigma Dubz, producing bass music that has been played out by DJs on UKF, Kiss, 1Xtra, RinseFM and more. James has just returned from another sell out US tour.
