Tommy Evans
Tommy Evans is a Ivors Academy award winning composer, producer and musical director. He graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2008. In 2011, Tommy was awarded the BASCA Jazz Composition Award for his 90 minute Jazz suite, The Green Seagull.
Around this time, Tommy set up electronic music collective Submotion Orchestra, touring extensively in the UK, Europe and Asia and releasing records with Ninja Tune and Counter Records.

Since 2017, Tommy has been musical director and conductor of the Outlook Orchestra. Specialising in the orchestral recreation of electronic and bass music, he has collaborated on unique scores with Dizzee Rascal, Fabio & Grooverider, Mala and David Rodigan to name a few.

In the last few years Tommy turned his hand to composition for film and TV. He has composed bespoke music for numerous clients, including BT Sport, Apple, Ford, Adidas, Audi, Ralph Lauren, Anthropologie, Chevrolet and TVS.
He has just finished scores for short films – ‘Wake Up’, directed by Marysue Masson, and ‘Shillings and Pence’, directed by Paul Bryant.
Tommy is the recent recipient of the Arts Council DYCP grant, under the guidance and mentoring of renowned UK composer Martin Phipps (The Crown, Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror etc)
